The Faculty of Philosophy hosted the international forum \u201cExploring the Roots of Democratic Disengagement”<\/strong><\/h6>\n

The Faculty of Philosophy<\/strong> at Sofia University hosted on April 3, 2026, the international forum\u00a0\u201cExploring the Roots of Democratic Disengagement\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, part of the DELIBERATE project (2026\u20132027), funded by the European Union, under the CERV programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Youth from Kosovo, Slovakia, Greece, and Bulgaria came together to exchange ideas on active civic participation and support for disengaged communities. Students from Sofia University actively contributed<\/strong>, representing disciplines such as Public Administration, European Studies, Political Science, International Relations, and Law, joined by MA and PhD students<\/strong>, whose inspiring perspectives helped foster dialogue and promote shared solutions for a more rights, equality and justice in democratic societies.<\/p>\n

The forum was officially opened by Prof. DSc Sonya Karabeliova<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr Albena Taneva, D. Hinkova, Y. Bushnyashki, and doctoral students from the Faculty.<\/p>\n
